BOY (7) FROM VLASOTINCE IN SERIOUS CONDITION: The toddler fell into a coma after a car accident due to brain injuries
A seven-year-old BOY, who was seriously injured yesterday in a traffic accident in Vlasotince, is in a coma in a very serious condition.
-According to the director of the Clinic for Neurosurgery, the child has very severe brain and skull injuries, is in a coma, unresponsive, and connected to mechanical ventilation. He was hospitalized in the neurosurgical intensive care unit at the Anesthesia Clinic, according to the University Medical Center Niš.
As announced yesterday, the police department in Leskovac is determining how the accident in which the boy was injured occurred. The residents of Vlasotince stated that the child was allegedly mowed down by a “big white jeep”, but there is still no official information on how the accident happened.
The boy was transferred first to the General Hospital’s Emergency Center Service, and from there he was transported to the Niš University Clinical Center, due to the severity of his injuries.
