The driver of the “Fiat” truck, who hit a 66-year-old woman last night at the pedestrian crossing in Knjaževačka Street in Niš, who died from her injuries, was arrested and detained, the police announced.
The police state that 60-year-old I.M. from Nis is charged with a serious crime against the safety of public transport.
The suspect was detained for up to 48 hours and he will be brought before the senior public prosecutor in Nis along with a criminal report.
