Neuropsychiatry expert said that the accused was incapable of driving a car due to the afforementioned amount of alcohol in his system.
Transportation expert added that Mitić would have been able to avoid the accident if he had driven within the speed limit, in which case he would be able to avoid hitting Kocić.
-BMW vehicle was not registered, and the driver had exceeded the speed limit by 25 km/h as the speed limit was 50 km/h – said the legal representative of the Kocić family Bratislav Stojanović.
The accident happened around 3:45 in the morning between the Niška Banja center and the train barrier, and as it could have been heard in the courtroom, seconds were missing to avoid Stefan’s death. Mitić was driving at a high speed from Niška Banja, as Stefan had stopped with two of his friends to help Mladen Davidović, owner of “Zastava 101” change a tire. Davidović had, as soon as Mitić had hit Kocić with his car, fleed the place of the accident, which during the trial he tried to justify with being afraid.
